3. Control your health
One of the challenges we as a society face today is that we have medical systems that are primarily focussed on treatment of disease using medically proven solutions. There are a few issues with this.
- The doctors tend to be specialised and look at the disease and the treatment rather than any root cause.
- Treatments are based on average populations from trials. For example if XYZ medicine has been proven to solve problem ABC in 70% of cases, then the other 30% of cases will need some other treatment, however in the course of taking treatment XYZ the problem may have got worse or the side effects may have had a negative impact.
- Little consideration is given to the diet of the individual. Diet and Nutrition is often a very small part of the medical professionals training, yet can have a tremendous impact on the well-being of the patient.
- The impact of compounding effect from other therapeutic treatments isn’t often understood.
- The impact of compounding effect of negative behaviours isn’t understood or discussed.
- Then there are the tests that come back within the normal range, but the range is so broad. Like most statistics that are taken at a particular point in time the can be interpreted many different ways. What is more important is the trend over time as this provides more information. Ask for your results and check for yourself.
You need to take responsibility for your health plan. Listen to the doctors, but ask questions about other things that you can do to help improve your odds. If given a 50% survival rate in the next 5 years, ask what the 50% that survived did. Did they get a different treatment? Did they do something else? Be prepared for an ‘I don’t know answer’. Check out Radical Remission website to find some answers for alternative therapies that have worked for others.
Use the other 10 steps outlined here to build your own health plan. If you share this with your mainstream doctors don’t be surprised if they are sceptical. If they aren’t, then you will have a winning team.
Research alternatives. Once again the mainstream medical profession is usually under a very heavy workload. They simply can’t keep up to date with everything that is happening in the world. Depending on the city or country you are in, certain treatments may not be readily available.
Doing the same thing and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity. If something isn’t working, then think what else can be done. If you have been successfully treated and then returned to the same routine of eating, working and living, then don’t be surprised if you get a recurrence. It is not enough to just be treated, you need to think of things you can do to prevent recurrence.
